Delegate Packet

Greetings Delegates!

Thank you for considering my candidacy for UUA President. On this page you’ll find all sorts of resources to help you in your discernment, including video clips, entire Regional Forums, infographics, and print outs.

I appreciate your willingness to engage in this process, and I hope to earn your vote!

Downloads and Endorsements

You can learn more about my Vision for the UUA, my hopes for our Faith, my Top Priorities if elected President, and my Experience by downloading my latest Campaign Brochure.

I have received Endorsements from over 150 UU’s from all five Regions. You can read those Endorsements by clicking here!

You can download an “Endorsements Insert” that lists several of the prominent endorsements I have received. Download the Endorsements Insert by clicking here.

I also received “The Most Biased Endorsement” from my husband and my son who surprised me with this video endorsement while I was on the road earlier this year…

Love, Justice and Vitality

From the beginning of this campaign I have been talking about “Love, Justice and Vitality.” You can trace those themes through my Campaign Launch Video, the Regional Forums that I have attended, and the Priorities I have laid out for the first day of my Presidency.

Day One Priorities

Priorities for Day One

  • Implement the Interim co-Presidents’ hiring policies and procedures.
  • Recruit racially diverse hiring teams to support diverse hiring.
  • Ensure strong resources for the Commission on Institutional Change and a commitment to implement the Commission’s recommendations.
  • Develop a strategic plan with Stewardship and Development to create the financial resources for the powerful mission we are called to in this time.
  • Meet with UUA staff one on one, in small groups, and retreats to build relationship, covenant, and clarity for the work ahead.
  • Strengthen the UUA’s relationship with congregations, including annual conversations with leaders from every congregation.
  • Create a plan with the UUA Board to invite congregations and leaders into a process to discern a clear and compelling mission for the Association for the 21st century.

How to Vote

Voting this year is online. Congregations will receive delegate credentials electronically from the UUA. These delegate credentials will then be distributed by congregation leaders. Once delegates have these credentials and voting opens, they will be able to vote.

Voting opens on June 1st and extends through 5pm Central Time on Saturday, June 24th. Once voting opens, delegates can vote at any time from their computer, phone, or other device with internet access. In addition, voting kiosks will be available from 9:00am to 5:00pm Central Time on June 24th at General Assembly 2017.

If a delegate wishes to vote by paper mail instead of electronically, they need to mail a request for a paper ballot to:
UUA General Assembly
24 Farnsworth Street
Boston, MA 02210
